February 22, 2025 Game of the Day
Tennessee at Texas A&M
As a Tennessee fan, I have tremendous bias on this game which is the reason I will be posting this as a key for Tennessee.
Tennessee has been getting off to slow starts which has had them coming back in many games throughout conference play. I fear this game will be similar to that of the start of the Missouri game at home. If this happens again on the road in College Station, you can mark this one in the L column for Tennessee. If Tennessee can play a full 40 minutes of offense along with their stellar defense they always play, this game will be a win for the Volunteers. Watch for Felix Okpara to make some big plays against an undersized frontcourt for the Aggies.
Today’s Pick
Missouri at Arkansas

Missouri has been playing some extremely good basketball as of late. A huge home win over a high ranked Alabama team gives them confidence going on the road to Arkansas. If Missouri plays like they have been and especially if they shoot from the arc like they did the other night, this might show to be a bad line by Sportsbooks. I would not be surprised if by tip off the points are closer to -3.5 or -4.5. And I would still probably take Missouri at that line as well.
Arkansas had a rough home month vs ranked opponents and their February has been better, even though they have not picked up a win. A 4 point loss to Alabama is very good progress from how they were in January.
With all that being said, I have 2.5 units on Missouri -1.5.

February 21, 2025 Game of the Day Recap
Michigan State 75 – Michigan 62
What a great game.
Other than Tennessee, Michigan State is the team I have watched the most games of this season. Man are they a fun group of players to watch. Coen Carr’s athleticism, Jase Richardson’s swagger, and Tre Holloman’s hustle are all things that just keep making you want to watch more and more. There will be a separate blog about Jase Richardson later this weekend, and another one on Coen Carr next week, so I can talk more on Tre Holloman today.
Holloman showed out last night and had an epic scoring run all by himself for Michigan State about halfway into the 2nd half. I’m talking 3 three pointers in a row! This run led the Spartans to being able to keep the momentum throughout the game and they never gave up the lead from there. His ability to be a spark off the bench and do whatever the team needs will be a great piece for them in March.
On the other side of the court for Michigan, there was a point in the first half where Danny Wolf, the Yale transfer, was a real problem for Michigan State. There was a small part where he took over the game and he looked like rookie Jokic out there. The Spartans were able to hold him to 2 layups in the second half but his passing did not stop and is truly tremendous.
Tre Holloman: 18 pts, 4 assists, 6-10 FG, 3-4 3P
Danny Wolf: 11 points, 8 assists, 7 reb, 5-11 FG, 1-4 3P
