Houston at Texas Tech
The Cougars are coming off a home win against a high ranked and short-handed Iowa State team on Saturday. The first half they came out of the gates hot and had a 10+ lead at halftime. The cyclones found some life and ended up making it much more of a game than it needed to be for the cougars. If this happens again for the Cougars tonight, I predict that they lose.
Texas Tech is a team I think has the chance to make it to the Final Four depending on their draw in the tournament. They play unbelievably hard night in and night out. A team that was picked to finish 7th in the conference is looking like they have a chance to finish in the top 3 of the Big 12. Depends on how this game goes for Texas Tech, I may be placing my Final Four appearance bet for the Red Raiders very soon.

Suns at Raptors
Suns +1.5 (miss)
This bet was absolutely terrible on my part. The Suns got smoked and as I predicted the player between Scottie Barnes and Kevin Durant that finished with the higher +/- would end up also getting the team victory. Scottie finished the day at +31, while Durant finished at -12. That is a very big spread.
Looking back on it, I should have used the thing in between my ears before placing my bet. I had thought the Suns were in a place to come back from their loss against the Spurs without Wemby, but they did not come out with that fire. They could be looking at falling spots in the West or the point where they solidify themselves as a play-in team. I think they would be a very good team in a one game series with Kevin Durant on the court. In those big moments, he is one of the best in the business.
No bets for today as I am giving the account some rest. It has been many days in a row before the blog started. I will be back with more in the coming days/weeks. Not off to a hot start hope to get back winning soon! Trust the process.
February 23, 2025 Game of the Day Recap
Knicks 105 – Celtics 118
The third game of the series was a bit similar to that of the first two. In the blog yesterday, I had mentioned that at least one of Anunoby or Hart had to play in order for the Knicks to be even close to winning this game. Both played (a combined 75 minutes even) and the Knicks yet again lose to the Celtics. This now wins the season series for Boston as they are up 3-0. This win also extends their lead over the Knicks in the standings from 3 games to 4. The top 2 in the East are pulling away fast.
The Celtics have too much for the Knicks to handle when it comes to being on the hardwood. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 49 points and the whole Celtics lineup finished north of 14 points. Tatum added 10 rebounds and was one assist away from a triple-double. Plus, with their bench doing what needs to be done night in and night out, I think this Celtics team is looking at a serious and dominant run in the playoffs this season. I predict the Cavs and Celtics to meet in the East Conference Championship.

A Look Ahead
Since I have my system on doing things down now, I will be on more of a schedule getting things out.
